J<\/span>ournal,<\/p>\n

It is not my intent to share something that I have often shared in the past. But in hope of awakening a sleeping heart, I’ll share just a tidbit of a miracle story.<\/p>\n

It happened August 6, 2007. I was having my morning devotion on a hill behind Christian Challenge. My faithful companion ‘CJ’ (short for General Claudius Josephus) was there by my side.<\/p>\n

My reading that morning brought me to Isaiah 64:3, where the prophet spoke of how God, “Did awesome things which we did not expect.”<\/em><\/p>\n

This verse and the next verse caught my full attention. I knew the Lord was speaking to me.<\/p>\n

Isaiah went on to say, “Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him.”<\/em><\/p>\n

My faithful friend, CJ, went to doggie heaven November 3, 2011.<\/p><\/div>\n

I love it when the Lord speaks directly to my spirit. The Lord simply said to me, ‘Expect the unexpected.’<\/em><\/p>\n

Most of my friends and my Christian brothers and sisters know what this was all about. It had to do with a miracle healing from cancer. (This is one of those documented cases.)<\/p>\n

I’ll not tell the story again. However, if you would like more information on this miracle healing, go to these entries:<\/p>\n

The first was recorded the day Jesus spoke the promise into my heart. It is from an earlier blog.<\/p>\n

Guidance from the Lord<\/span><\/h2>\n

That’s the way it has been through my years of walking with the Lord. He is faithful to share with me those things that are necessary for my journey of faith.<\/p>\n

The Lord’s guidance to His children are varied and many. He gives us dreams and visions. He speaks to us through others. He speaks to us through providence. He especially speaks to us through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. This is why God’s people should be diligent to attend church on a regular basis.<\/p>\n

There has been times that I’ve wanted to write a journal for my children about my life experiences in the Lord. Not a journal about how important or how different I am from any other believer. But a journal that would help inspire them in their own journey of faith.<\/p>\n

Maybe some day. But I also realize that each of my children belong to the Lord, just as I belong to Him.<\/p>\n

But this does bring me to the question that begs an answer. What is…<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

True Biblical Christianity<\/span><\/h2>\n

Much of what people call Christianity today is merely about religion and culture. This is why you see so much disparity and disunity in the ranks of Christendom. Of course it has always been that way. The reason is found in something that Jesus said to Pilate.<\/p>\n

Listen to this conversation:<\/p>\n

\"Pilate“Pilate answered, ‘I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered You to me; what have You done?’<\/span><\/p>\n

“Jesus answered, ‘My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.’<\/span><\/p>\n

“Therefore Pilate said to Him, ‘So You are a king?’<\/span><\/p>\n

“Jesus answered, ‘You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.'” (Joh 18:35-37)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Did you catch it?\u00a0Religion builds itself essentially around worldly power structures.\u00a0True Christianity has never been an issue of religion or culture. Biblical Christianity is a kingdom, with a King, and of whose voice every one of His subject will hear.<\/p>\n

The kingdom of God is based on one thing – Where there is a kingdom there has to be a king. The kingdom of God is based on the voice of the King.<\/p>\n

May I leave a little advice with you? Thanks.<\/p>\n

My advice is simple.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Don’t Be a Mule-Headed Believer<\/span><\/h2>\n

David was a Psalmist and a Prophet. This means that David could speak not only about Christ, but he could speak for Christ. (According to the apostle Peter, the prophets of old spoke by the Spirit of Christ.)<\/p>\n

The man after God’s own heart gave instructions for a believer’s guidance.<\/p>\n

Listen carefully:<\/p>\n

David<\/span> – “You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. <\/span><\/p>\n

Christ<\/span> – “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. <\/span><\/p>\n

“Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, otherwise they will not come near to you. <\/span><\/p>\n

“Many are the sorrows of the wicked, But he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him.” \u00a0<\/span>
\n(Psa 32:7-10)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Did you catch it?<\/p>\n

Do you want lovingkindness to surround you? Or, are you simply going to be mule-headed, whereby the\"Stubborn\" Lord has to use other means to get your attention?<\/p>\n

Mule-headed believers are those who try to live their life on their own terms. This is why they have so many problems in life.<\/p>\n

Lot to think about, isn’t it.<\/p>\n

So, think about it.<\/p>\n
